JOB TITLE: ES-Employment Interviewer II (2 positions)
START SALARY: $13.16 per hour

JOB DUTIES: This position will perform National Emergency Grant related duties to assist customers impacted by recent tornadoes; Will also work with local employers to develop Worksite Agreements; Will use data from Worksite Agreements to develop job orders, screen and refer qualified candidates to job orders; will process and image all National Emergency Grant related forms; and will enter data into computer system.

Preferred Education and Training:
Completion of two (2) years employment with MS Department of Employment Security as an Employment Interviewer I or ES- Employment Counselor I
OR
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
OR
Graduation from a standard four year high school or equivalent (GED)
AND
Four (4) years of experience related to the described duties.
Substitution Statement:
Related education and related experience may be substituted on an equal basis.
Preferred Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities related to performance of job:
Good interpersonal skills; excellent customer service skills, good verbal/written communication skills; time management and organizational skills; computer literate, ability to work independently and in teams, attention to detail, ability to multitask.

MDES state service (status) employees, probationary state service, part-time, time-limited and/or other non-state service positions within the purview of the Mississippi
State Personnel Board, must be employed in their current position for at least six (6)
