JOB DUTIES: Position will be responsible for the WIA individual Training Accounts for workforce training. Will work two days per week in the Mendenhall office, travel is required. Position will also be responsible for trade related activities, will make job referrals, take job orders, and conduct UI functions as directed. Position will be responsible for employer relations and customer service, will represent MDES to all interested stake holders, will cover multiple counties, and support local WIN Center activities and work as directed by WIN Center Manager. Position will also function in placement and other MDES activities and services as directed.

Preferred Education and Training:
Completion of two (2) years employment with MS Department of Employment Security as an Employment Interviewer I or ES- Employment Counselor I
or
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
or
Graduation from a standard four year high school or equivalent (GED) and four (4) years of experience related to the described duties.
And
Preferred Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities related to performance of job:
Good interpersonal skills; excellent customer service skills, good verbal/written communication skills; time management and organizational skills; computer literate, ability to work independently and in teams, attention to detail, ability to multitask.

MDES state service (status) employees, probationary state service, part-time, time-limited and/or other non-state service positions within the purview of the Mississippi
